Judith (a.k.a. Judie) Levy has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Emory University, along with a M.A. and B.A. in English and Teaching Writing Certificate from California State University, Fullerton. She has been teaching Writing Composition courses since 2012. She currently teaches first-year Core, Narratives of the Self, which doubles as first-year writing, along with the third-year Historical Perspectives course. She is the project leader for the CIC NetVUE grant, Reframing the Institutional Saga, an institution-wide project to re-tell 91影视’s history. Judie is the producer and host of 听 by the Association of Core Texts and Courses (ACTC). Her love for the Atlanta community has led her to support on public realm initiatives and help organize local events, including serving as Director of Communications for Virginia Highland District Association from August 2020 to August 2023.

Areas of Interest/Research:
Judie鈥檚 research focuses on postcolonial and migrant literature of the Caribbean and North Africa, investigating how historical literature exposes bias, silence and exploitation in history. She has experience in Writing Program curriculum and assessment, as well as revising honor codes at two universities. She is also invested in writing in non-academic contexts, including website building and ePortfolios as part of her course design and pedagogical practices.
