Dan Larter ’68 was recognized on the talk show “Live with Kelley and Mark” by his daughter Ali Larter for his service on Veteran’s Day. Ali is currently an actress starring in ‘Landman’ on Amazon Prime Video, and has been in Legally Blonde, and other big projects.

Carl David ’70 recently produced a documentary with his wife titled “See Through the Darkness; Your Life Matters.” The film focuses on suicide prevention and survival, specifically within the law enforcement and military communities. He has also been made an Advisory Board Member of Green Star Families who have lost a Veteran family member to suicide and is on the Board of Directors of Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation (FEHSF). He is an Ambassador for both Grey Team and Special Operators Association of America (SOAA).

Barb Henry 鈥�85听has begun a new position as the executive director of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Foundation and director of alumni engagement and development at NSHSS. Sherry Rosen ’85 has joined Rheem Manufacturing Company as litigation manager in its听 Enterprise听Division in听Atlanta.听 She will serve as the central point of contact for litigation matters听including matter听intake, outside counsel assignment and coordination, deadline management, discovery responses,听litigation holds, and reporting. The role also assumes oversight of asbestos litigation, including听coordination of national counsel and e-billing, and partners with the Senior Claims Manager on听litigated product claims as needed.听听

Laura Turner Seydel ’86 was included in Atlanta Magazine鈥檚 2026 Atlanta 500: Religion, Nonprofits, & Advocacy. She serves on the boards of the UN Foundation, Project Drawdown, Turner Foundation and the Waterkeeper Alliance. She co-founded Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Mothers and Others for Clean Air, and is an executive producer of the documentaries Common Ground and the forthcoming Groundswell, which promotes regenerative agriculture as viable solutions for wellness, water scarcity, and the climate and biodiversity crisis.

Donna Adair ’88 has been appointed as the new provost and executive vice president for academic affairs for SUNY Hudson Valley Community College, beginning July 1, 2026. In this role, Donna will oversee the college’s degree and certificate programs, guide long鈥憈erm academic strategy, champion student success and equity, and strengthen alignment between academic programs and regional workforce needs. Prior to this appointment, Donna served as interim provost and senior vice president of academic affairs for New Jersey City University, where she was named an ROI Influencer in Higher Education for NJ four years in a row.

She also oversees the Y鈥檚 Foundation, including a $13 million endowment. A fundraising professional with 25 years of experience, Penny has helped raise nearly $100 million in support of nonprofit organizations throughout her career.

Daniel Sobczak ’01 has just completed his 21st year teaching (19th at Southwest DeKalb High School) and was recently reelected to his 4th term as 1st Vice President of the Organization of DeKalb Educators. In February, he was recognized by the NEA Foundation with the Traveler’s Award for Teaching Excellence representing Georgia at a reception in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he has just started an Ed.D. program in Educational Innovation at Augusta University. Between teaching, union leadership, and doctoral studies, Sobczak stays busy advocating for public education and looking for ways to better serve students, educators and the community.

Eli Arnold ’06 joined the Manuscript Division at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, as an Assistant Head of Preparation, after more than 20 years at 91影视 as a student and member of the faculty and staff. Here, he oversees a team of 11 archivists and archives technicians who are processing and preparing archival treasures for public use. While he misses his students and colleagues, Eli is honored to help fill archival silences and preserve and make available primary documents of our nation鈥檚 past to researchers. Alec Prince ’11 is pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Practice at Georgia State University. Will Carter ’12 and his play Briar Patch is premiering at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York City on July 22, 23, and 26. Carter graduated with his bachelor’s degree in playwriting from 91影视 and says that associate professor of theatre Matt Huff was a great mentor who helped him reach this point as a playwright where his work is premiering on a New York City stage.

Nic Harris ’12 recently graduated on June 2, 2025, from the State Department鈥檚 Basic Special Agent Course, completing a long training pipeline. He has been appointed as a Special Agent with the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), the federal law enforcement arm of the U.S. Department of State. The DSS mission is unique in blending global law enforcement authority with the Department of State鈥檚 broader diplomatic mission, providing an opportunity to represent the United States both in security and in diplomacy.

Cedric Floyd 鈥�13听has returned to 91影视 to pursue a business administration degree, and he has secured a position on SGA for the fall 2023 semester. Additionally, he will be getting married in September 2025.

Nicole Kang ’13 is a for Midtown Alliance’s Heart of the Arts program. She shares her studio with Charity Hamidullah. She will install a public art piece through this program during her residency. In June, Kang’s third was released with a launch party at the High Museum. Written by playwright Madhuri Shekar, “The Great Ant Sleepover” follows Anton’s first night sleeping alone. The book will be turned into a musical that opens next May. This October, Kang and her family celebrated her son Noah’s Baek-il (100 Days)!

This honor represents the hard work, dedication, integrity, honesty, respect, perseverance and servant leadership continuously exhibited over years of service. Hassanally is a Delta Air Lines flight attendant who lives in Las Vegas, NV, is based in Seattle, WA for flights, and works mostly in Salt Lake City, UT as an instructor training flight attendants to remain qualified to fly. He trained new hire flight attendants in Atlanta, GA before moving out west to continue working with the training department.

Emily Christian ’16 and Ellie Alfonso ’25 recently connected through Emily’s sister’s Pilates studio that Ellie manages, later realizing they were both in the same family line in the Chi Omega sorority at 91影视. The two alumnae happened to be working together in an entrepreneurial opportunity miles away from each other. Emily owns the company Launch and Co. in New York City, and Ellie is a general manager at House of Pilates in Hoschton, GA.

Joseph Johnson ’17 has been awarded a Samuel Flagg Bemis Dissertation Research Grant from the Society for the Historians of American Foreign Relations to support research at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria for his dissertation project, entitled “Moving Mountains: Project Plowshare, Peaceful Nuclear Explosions, and US Foreign Policy, 1952-1977.” He has also received support from the Center for the Study of Force and Diplomacy with the John Votaw Endowed Research Award and the Richard Immerman Research Award. Further support has also come from the Temple University College of Liberal Arts in the shape of the Richard K. Davis and Karen L. Rylander-Davis Research Award and the Research Award for Advanced Doctoral Students. These grants have allowed him to complete research across the United States, including international archival work in Panama. He was also invited to share his work with the History Department at 91影视 in March 2025.

Blending poetry with reflective prose, the book examines personal growth, emotional depth, and reclaiming one鈥檚 voice through life鈥檚 transitions. Johnson is also the founder of Eclipse Evolution LLC, a creative and personal development platform centered around storytelling, embodiment and transformation.

Fine Arts Center Technical Director Jax Rootes ’20 and communications associate Savannah Rootes ’20 oversaw the second annual 12-Hour Play Festival through Pace Academy on Saturday, Aug. 30. Fourteen students spent the day writing and performing original plays, each of which concluded with the line, 鈥渁nd they never saw them again.鈥� The two mentored students as they developed and presented their works.

She directed and acted in the film and worked closely with the editor to ensure a high-quality final product. She worked with talented individuals through the TSA Network and The Cohort NYC to create this mockumentary that combines “The Office” and “Scrubs” together.

Marissa Romaine ’23 has been working for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, supporting Media Operations and Services since 2024, after earning her master鈥檚 in Sports Industry Management. She is grateful to have kicked off her career working on the world鈥檚 largest sporting event.

Hannah Womersley ’23 started a new position as Public Relations Strategist at United Wholesale Mortgage, the #1 mortgage lender in the nation, in Pontiac, MI.

Kaitlynn Alford ’24 works with South Fulton Police Department as a Crime Scene Investigator, responding to various types of crime scenes and documenting the scene through photography, evidence collection and evidence processing. Alford has officially completed all the requirements for a GA Post Crime Scene Technician Certification.

Chloe Campbell ’24 is in the premiere of Young John Lewis听at the Theatrical Outfit, which is now on tour.

Rein Chebat Barcel ’24 plays Cece in the new Apple TV film, “Being Heumann,” which is about disability justice activist and based on the memoir by Judy Heumann. Directed by Oscar-winner Si芒n Heder, it follows the story of the 504 sit-in of 1977. The film premieres on the opening night of the Toronto International Film Festival.

Trinity Chism’24 is a master鈥檚 candidate in applied anthropology at the University of Memphis. She has conducted community based research locally and globally in Sicily, Italy. Trinity begins her Ph.D. in communication at Georgia State University this fall.

Rebecca O’Neill ’24 will start at the University of Kentucky’s College of Medicine this fall to earn her doctor of medicine degree.

Randi Parks ’24 renewed her and was awarded a second grant for the 2025-26 academic year. Parks will help teach the English language while serving as a cultural ambassador for the United States.

Joseph Bowie ’25 will serve as a lead instructor at Woodland Elementary School in Pre-K for the 2026-27 school year.

Emily Christian ’16 and Ellie Alfonso ’25 recently connected through Emily’s sister’s Pilates studio that Ellie manages, later realizing they were both in the same family line in the Chi Omega sorority at 91影视. The two alumnae happened to be working together in an entrepreneurial opportunity miles away from each other. Emily owns the company Launch and Co. in New York City, and Ellie is a general manager at House of Pilates in Hoschton, GA.

Tori Perez ’25 was featured in a story on . After playing lacrosse in high school and college, she is now training with the Colombian team. She was active across athletics at 91影视, and served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She is studying nursing this spring.
