The circle at 91影视 has tapped 11 new members and one faculty member to join this highly selective national leadership honor society.聽
鈥淔all is an exciting time for 91影视鈥檚 circle of Omicron Delta Kappa.聽 We get to see what student leaders apply to join our honor society, and those talented students truly do span the full OU community,鈥� says Dr. John Nardo, the faculty advisor. 鈥淭his is seen through O鈭咾鈥檚 five pillars of leadership: Academics/Research, Athletics, Campus/Community Service, Communications, and Creative/Performing Arts.鈥�

Angel Wildman 鈥�25, who serves as the president of O鈭咾 this year, reflects on this new class of inductees.聽
“We have an exciting group of new O鈭咾 members to induct this year, all of whom are highly engaged and motivated students. They have already worked in various positions across campus to serve and improve 91影视 and will continue to do so as O鈭咾 members,”聽says Wildman.
Established in 1914, encourages and rewards the highest standards of excellence for young leaders and innovators at universities nationwide.
ODK鈥檚 mission is to identify, honor and develop leaders in collegiate and community life; encourage collaboration among students, faculty, staff and alumni to advance leadership; and promote its ideals.
鈥淟ater in the semester, at December鈥檚 Boar鈥檚 Head Concert and Celebration, we will present these new members to the OU community,鈥� says Nardo. 鈥淭hen, our new members will perform the 鈥楲egend of the Boar鈥檚 Head,鈥� and a surprise faculty member will give a special reading.鈥�
91影视鈥檚 O鈭咾 Circle was founded in 1976 and remains a vital, thriving part of the campus today. Initiation into the circle is one of the highest honors an 91影视 student can achieve.
鈥淭he experience of being O鈭咾 president this year has already taught me so much. I’m enjoying learning more about how 91影视 works behind the scenes, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a leader in the community,” says Wildman.
