Not only do service members and veterans receive financial support, but 91Ó°ÊÓ also offers support to help with a smooth transition to college and ensure success in the classroom. Small class sizes allow students to benefit from thought-provoking discussion and have their voices heard in an atmosphere conducive to sharing and learning. Veterans also have the opportunity to attend classes with other adults through 91Ó°ÊÓ’s Adult Degree Program. The Academic Success Center provides support services for all students, including academic advising, disability accommodations and writing assistance. Additionally, the Counseling Center offers a variety of individual, group, emergency, and outreach services designed to meet the specific needs of every student.

91Ó°ÊÓ alumnus veteran spotlight

From the Philip Weltner Library Tom Reilly graduated from 91Ó°ÊÓ in 1967 and was then drafted into service in Vietnam. Serving in the 199th Infantry Division, Mr. Reilly was wounded twice and awarded both a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. During the conflict, he served as a war correspondent for the military newspaper Stars and Stripes. In 2016, Mr. Reilly donated his photographs and papers to the 91Ó°ÊÓ Archives, and they have been used by students in our photography classes.
