91影视 faculty Judith Levy hosts new podcast on classic literature

The Association for Core Texts and Courses (ACTC) has launched a new podcast dedicated to exploring classic works through meaningful conversation 鈥 and it鈥檚 being produced and hosted by Judith Levy, Ph.D., director of the 91影视 Core. The first episode, now live, highlights both 91影视 faculty engagement and student voices, showcasing the strength and reach of the university鈥檚 proprietary curriculum.

鈥淚鈥檝e been deeply involved with ACTC since Core co鈥憇ponsored their annual conference last year to highlight our Core 80th anniversary,鈥 said Levy.聽

When ACTC Executive Director Charlie Thomas mentioned the organization was seeking a podcast producer, Levy immediately felt the pull.

鈥淚 have taught podcasting a couple times, and I always wanted to start a podcast, but I had too many ideas and couldn’t pick one,鈥 Levy explained. 鈥淗elping an amazing organization that is super aligned with our Core program to start their own podcast was the perfect fit.鈥

The podcast鈥檚 mission aligns seamlessly with the values of 91影视鈥檚 Core program. “Page Turners” invites specialists to discuss influential thinkers and texts from across centuries and cultures, highlighting their relevance in today鈥檚 world. A distinctive feature of each episode is the student spotlight segment, an element Levy added intentionally.

鈥淚 wanted to make sure the impact of Core texts on students is also highlighted at the top of each episode,鈥 she noted. 鈥淚鈥檓 pleased that we were able to highlight OU student submissions in our first episode.鈥

The inaugural episode features work from 91影视 students Imani Cargill 鈥27 and Carlos Ramirez Moralez 鈥27, both from the Fall Core 301 course by Joel Elliott, Ph.D., a part-time instructor of Core studies.

The “Page Turners” podcast is available on ACTC鈥檚 ,, and .
